NPA engages Nigerian Editors on Port reforms

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman has said that the Authority will partner the Nigerian Guild of Editors with a view to having a stronger communications channel to convey the gains of the current Port Reforms at the nation’s seaports in conformity with the Federal Government objectives of attracting Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs), whilst making the nation the Hub of Maritime Business in the Sub Region.

Niger Delta leader cautions Avengers on oil attacks

A key community leader from Nigeria’s tense Delta oil-producing region called on militants on Sunday not to resume their attacks until they had further time to negotiate their demands with the government.

We have a number of free zones dedicated to oil and gas activities. The flagship free zone dedicated solely to oil and gas activities in the country is the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone.

NNPC extends oil, biofuel exploration to Benue Trough

Following the flag-off of oil search on the Nasarawa State end of the Benue Trough last week, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has commenced move to mobilize for oil exploration in the Benue State sector of the Benue Trough.

The Group Managing Director of NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Kacalla Baru, who led a high-powered delegation from the Corporation to the Governor of Benue State, Mr. Samuel Ortom, disclosed that all was set for seismic data acquisition work to commence in the state.

Reps reverse INTELS’ contract revocation

The House of Representatives have ordered an immediate reversal of the termination of the contract between Integrated Logistics Services (INTELS) Nigeria Limited and the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
 
Adopting a motion sponsored by Diri Duoye under matters of public importance during the plenary session presided over by Speaker Yakubu Dogara on Wednesday, the House resolved to raise an ad-hoc committee to ascertain if due process was followed before the termination of the contract.
